Badges

The big blue oval’s that Ford uses are nice but I wanted everything that I could change to be black and chrome. Well while surfing Ebay I found these overlays for the stock emblems. They are made by a company called webextremes and come in different colors. I of course got the black ones. Ford for whatever reason did not put the diesel badges on the Excursions like they did with the Super Duty’s. I wanted badges to tell the world I had a Powerstroke, that is the world when it wasnt running. The dealer had them for the 01 Super Duty’s $18 a piece, which is the same as they are going for on Ebay.


	The overlays were simple to do. I used a little soapy water to let me slide the decal around then squeezed the water out.




	The kit came with one for the front, one for the back and a small Ford decal for the steering wheel oval, but my XLT just has the vinyl center so I put it below the back Excursion Emblem.

We measured out the location of the Powerstroke badges on my dads F350 and used them to place mine.

		The badges come from the dealer with thick emblem tape already on them. Just peel it off and stick. Make sure to clean the surface with alcohol. Laying masking tape down to use as a guide and to make marks on when measuring helps also.
